mergedexternal1aThere has been a lot of talk about the Sea Lawns Hotel, and the proposals for demolition and the building of flats in it's place.

Here is some information and reports that have been publicised in various places, that may help you to see what all the fuss is about. This is not the campaign site, it is just information and links regarding the planning and appeal.

Most recently: Monday 4th Feb 08 there was a meeting at the Heronston Hotel between Lyn Powell , a planning consultant representing John Williams owner of the boarded up Sealawns and the Village Hall Association. The meeting was to discuss Mr Williams making it known that he was prepared to consider sharing some of the profits from his developments with the VHA to build a village hall. This apparently was due to advice that there are provisions for this kind of thing under The result of this meeting seems to be that the villagers want a Pub and a Village Hall and that therefore if a proposal was put forward it would not get any support from the majority of villagers.

If you have information about the Sealawns please email it to web@ogmorebysea.co.uk or discuss the Sealawns in our sealawns forum
