New plans have been submitted for the building of flats at the Sea Lawns. Details of the planning application can be found here http://vog.planning-register.co.uk/PlaRecord.aspx?AppNo=2010/00147/ful There has been a meeting of residents and it is mostly being objected to for the following reasons The main issues of concern raised by local people so far are 1) the loss of our last village pub would be damaging to village life 2) the scale, form and character of the development is unacceptable 3) the will be a detrimental effect on tourism in the Vale of Glamorgan 4) additional peak time traffic flows will cause problems in Slon Lane 5) the sewers serving the site are already over capacity 6) local employment opportunities will be lost There is also a campaign site here http://www.sealawnscampaign.com/index.html
